The Knitting Revolution: lecture

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania is hosting a lecture on Thursday, March 15 from 6-8pm that you might be interested in!
What does knitting have to do with women’s rights? Join University of Notre Dame professor Pamela Butler as she explores the legacy of knitting and feminism in order to make political sense of today’s so-called “knitting revolution.” A short knitting demonstration, sponsored by Rosie’s Yarn Cellar, will precede the event. Bring your knitting needles!

A raffle will take place after the event. All proceeds will support the Young Friends Adopt A Collection program. You may purchase raffle tickets online at registration or at the door. Prizes include two roundtrip tickets from Southwest Airlines, a gift basket from Rosie's Yarn Cellar, and items from Modern Eye.

The Historical Society is located at 1300 Locust Street. Here's the website.

OOH! I wanna go. It happens to be the next knitting nite, but I might reconvene ourselves there!
